Medical marijuana patients can purchase up to 6 ounces of cannabis per 30-day revolving period (this means that 30 days from the day of purchase, it then falls off of your allotment) and are subject to a 4% state tax on medical cannabis purchases. Patients should be mindful of the restrictions on public consumption, which apply to both medical and recreational users. Patients and caregivers can cultivate marijuana with an approved cultivation identification card, allowing them to be in possession of up to a 90-day supply of dried, unprocessed marijuana or its equivalent stored in an approved, enclosed, locked facility.
